n8n-nodes-blotato

This n8n community node enables seamless integration of Blotato in your n8n workflows.

Note: This is an unofficial community project and is not developed or maintained by the Blotato Team.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

This package includes three nodes for interacting with Blotato:

Media Upload Node

Upload and manage media files for your social media content.

  • Upload from URL: Upload media files from a URL
  • Upload from Binary: Upload media files from binary data
  • Supported formats: Images (JPG, PNG, GIF) and Videos (MP4, MOV)
  • Size limits: Varies by platform (automatically handled)

Post Publish Node

Create and publish content across multiple social media platforms.

  • Platforms supported: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky
  • Features:
    • Multi-platform publishing with a single workflow
    • Schedule posts for later
    • Add captions, hashtags, and mentions
    • Platform-specific options (e.g., Pinterest boards, YouTube descriptions)

Social Accounts Node

Retrieve your connected social media account IDs.

  • List all accounts: Get all connected social media accounts
  • Filter by platform: Get specific platform account IDs
  • Use with credentials: Automatically populated from your Blotato credentials

Credentials

To use this node, you need to create credentials in n8n:

  1. Get your Blotato API Key:

    • Log in to your Blotato account
    • Navigate to Settings → API Keys
    • Generate a new API key
  2. Configure in n8n:

    • Go to CredentialsNewBlotato API
    • Enter your API key
    • (Optional) Add your social media account IDs for quick access
  3. Connect Social Media Accounts:

    • In Blotato, connect your social media accounts
    • Copy the account IDs from Blotato
    • Add them to your n8n Blotato credentials for easy reference

Compatibility

  • n8n version: 1.80.0 and above
  • Node.js: 18.10 or higher

Usage

Example: Multi-Platform Publishing

  1. Upload your media using the Media Upload node
  2. Get account IDs using the Social Accounts node (or from credentials)
  3. Publish to multiple platforms using separate Post Publish nodes or a loop

Tips

  • Rate Limits: Blotato has a rate limit of 10 media uploads per minute
  • Media Requirements: Each platform has specific media requirements (automatically handled by Blotato)
  • Scheduling: Use the publishDate parameter to schedule posts
  • Error Handling: Enable "Continue On Fail" to handle platform-specific errors gracefully
